We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer (Inventor). This role offers the opportunity to design and develop large-scale heavy industrial equipment/systems with a well-established manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to take designs from concept through fabrication and assembly. The organization offers a hybrid work model and a very strong total compensation package reflective of experience.Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Designing heavy industrial equipment and mechanical assemblies using Autodesk InventorCreating detailed 3D models, layouts, and fully dimensioned manufacturing drawingsDeveloping and maintaining BOMs, part numbers, and drawing revisionsCollaborating with manufacturing, machining, welding, and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effectiveSupporting design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) initiativesParticipating in design reviews and contributing to continuous improvement effortsProviding technical support during build, assembly, and commissioning stagesMandatory Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or custom equipment environmentStrong working experience with Autodesk InventorSolid understanding of machining, fabrication, weldments, and structural componentsAbility to produce clear, accurate manufacturing drawings and documentationSalary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 (plus strong benefits and total compensation package)If you are interested in learning more about the Mechanical Designer (Inventor) job opportunity please submit your updated resume to ty@itecgroup.caWe are recruitment industry leaders committed to quality service, integrity, respect and equal opportunity.
