We listen and act upon suggestions, advice, and innovative ideas to further our strategic vision.Build your future with Maplesoft’s exciting technologies, deep partnerships, personal approach to consulting services, professional development opportunities and exciting company culture.Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Data Architect Services for our Federal Government client.ResponsibilitiesProvides thought leadership and technical direction for data product and analytics teams.Leads and contributes to: The definition of reference architectures for data management & analytics capabilities.The design of solution architectures, definition of standards, design patterns, etc. for data & analytics platforms.The definition of data architecture standards, guidelines, and principles for the enterprise.The design of data solution architectures, data models and data flows for transformational and operational initiatives.The execution on Proof of Concepts (PoC) or Proof of Technology (PoT) using a design thinking approach.The development and maintenance the enterprise data model (conceptual and logical) and data lineage.Fulfills data architecture governance functions by: Reviewing and approving solution designs validating adherence to design patterns and standards.Monitoring solutions deployed on data and analytics platforms to ensure standards, design patterns and solution architectures are being followed.Defining remediation plans when uncovering deviant solutions or usage.Working collaboratively with data governance analysts to ensure data management activities are compliant with governance standards.Develops creative solutions, evaluating trade-offs to minimize investment in legacy platforms and technical debt, and maximize time to value.Works closely with other domain architects and project delivery teams to drive alignment with the design decisions made and ensure consistency of implementations with architecture principles and standards.Documents and publishes architectural artifacts and mentor the delivery teams to incorporate them in their Agile delivery practices.Defines innovative migration and conversion strategies by leveraging existing technology platforms and capabilities.Performs benchmarking exercises to optimize performance of data & analytics platforms.Keeping current with new emerging technologies, develops platform roadmaps to mature the technical stack towards improving operational outcomes and meeting business evolving needs.Champions and presents the technical vision to the executive team and business stakeholders.Works closely and collaboratively with database administration, data quality, data engineering, technology platform and infrastructure teams to optimize the overall operations of data management and analytics activities.Manages and delivers work using agile methodologies (i.e. Kanban, Scrum, etc.).Specific Project RequirementsSupport Legacy Datamart Modernization, Migration & Decommissioning (LDMMD) initiative: rebuild & replace legacy data marts with modern data pipelines and data products within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Synapse, Microsoft Purview, Denodo, Infosphere Data Architect \/ Erwin \/ ER/Studio, Azure DevOps (Agile/Kanban), Informatica MDM.Architecture Knowledge Management - Architecture Decision Records Management, Reference Architecture, Design Patterns.SkillsIn depth expert knowledge with a track record of successful results on leading large-scale data management/transformation programs.Exceptional skills in coaching, influencing and driving cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, dynamic and nebulous environment.Excellent verbal and written communication, critical and strategic thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methods.Strong knowledge of DevOps, DataOps, Machine Learning/Analytics Ops.AssetsMBA or University degree in a related business field.Project Management Experience.Bilingualism in both official languages (English & French).Experience in various data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, PowerBI, Denodo, SQL Server/Oracle DBMS, Azure Purview, IBM Infosphere (IGC, DataStage, Data Architect, etc.), Azure Event Hub/Grid, Spark, Azure Databricks, Cognos Analytics, SAS Viya, Azure Portal, Office 365, ERWin/ER Studio, Informatica MDM.Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBoK).Agile training (eg.
