We are currently seeking an Enterprise Solution Architect - ITSM to join our team in Gatineau, Quebec.

Project Summary:

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Refactoring Project aims to address technical debt accumulated over several years of implementation. Over the past four years, the client has deployed an ITSM solution aligned with departmental Digital directives to standardize and improve Configuration, Incident, Work Order, Change, and Release Management.

With the current platform reaching end-of-life, the client is continuing efforts to ensure the ITSM solution remains modern, viable, and aligned with evolving technologies and digital service standards. To support this, the department is reviewing the current architecture to develop a refactoring roadmap that will strengthen Product Management practices and ensure the ITSM suite aligns with the Enterprise Architecture vision for an evergreen, modernized ITSM product suite.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced architectural expertise to support engagement with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) group within the IT Branch.
  • Ensure alignment of the ITSM modernization initiative with enterprise standards and future-state architecture.
  • Current-State Analysis (As-Is Architecture), Future-State Architecture Development, Engagement and Alignment.
  • Gather and document all architectural details of the existing ITSM system.
  • Identify and map dependencies of systems and services that rely on the current ITSM platform for functionality.
  • Validate findings with EA stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with BMC Corporation to obtain architecture diagrams and specifications for the proposed cloud-based ITSM solution.
  • Design & document the target architecture package, including, logical/physical architecture diagrams, integration points and dependency mapping and compliance with enterprise architecture principles and security standards.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture group to ensure the proposed solution aligns with organizational strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Facilitate architecture review sessions and incorporate feedback into deliverables.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Must have 10+ years of recent experience working as Software/Application Architect, Enterprise Solutions Architect or similar.
  • Must have 3+ years of recent experience with ITSM Platforms and Enterprise Architecture Frameworks.
  • Must have 3+ years of recent experience with Cloud Architecture (BMC Helix or similar solutions).
  • Must have 3+ years of recent experience creating Architecture Diagrams using tools like Visio, ArchiMate, or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance and have experience working with the Federal Government.
  • Must be able to work a Hybrid work model, based in Ottawa/Gatineau (National Capital Region).
  • Must have a Canadian university degree or college/CEGEP diploma related to computer science, business administration, information technology, engineering or the equivalent as established by a recognized Canadian academic credentials assessment service. A copy of the degree or diploma must be provided upon request.
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred/considered an asset.
