Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team. As a Full-Time Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in providing physical therapy services to patients with a wide range of conditions with a special interest in neurological conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients by promoting recovery, improving mobility, and enhancing overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine physical therapy needs and formulate treatment plans.
- Implement individualized treatment programs aimed at improving movement, function, and independence.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, including but not limited to therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for managing neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited program.
- Current Registration as a Physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Proven experience working with patients with neurological disorders, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury an asset.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
