Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is one of two tertiary hospitals within Interior Health and is the region’s main referral centre providing a full range of services. With approximately 400 beds and over 84,000 ED visits yearly, KGH houses the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC), BC’s only cardiac critical care centre outside of Victoria and the Lower Mainland, and is a teaching centre for the Southern Medical Program affiliated with UBC. Practice Details Excellent opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training to join the team at Kelowna General Hospital. Fellowship training and/or experience in Cardiothoracic, Chest, MSK, Breast or Nuclear Medicine imaging is an asset but not required. The department includes 3 CT scanners, one MRI (expanding with 2 new units), a brand‑new interventional fluoroscopy suite, digital mammography, and a PET scanner at adjacent BCCA. We are the only IHA site performing MRI‑guided breast biopsies. At our 3 clinics we perform X‑ray, ultrasound, bone mineral density, and diagnostic mammography. Procedural requirements for diagnostic radiologists are predominantly biopsies and drainages; vascular interventions, nephrostomy tubes, and complex biliary work are handled by the IR team.
