Position Overview

Santis Health, a leading public affairs, communications ,and strategy consultancy focusing exclusively on the health care sector, has an opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our growing communications practice. A hybrid-remote position based in our Toronto office, this ambitious, self-motivated individual will work closely with Santis’ team to provide comprehensive graphic design services that support the marketing, communications, and branding needs of both the firm and the clients we service. This role reports to Santis’ Toronto office, with two required in-person working days per week.


Applicants should have extensive graphic design experience spanning digital, print, and social media assets, with strong proficiency in design software and a portfolio that demonstrates creativity and attention to detail. Previous experience working in health care and/or in an agency setting would be a strong advantage.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Design compelling visual assets for clients including presentations, infographics, social media graphics, web design elements, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate on and help shape visual communications strategy and deliverables for clients to ensure brand consistency and alignment with client objectives.
  • Interact with clients and prospective clients, media, partner agencies, stakeholders, and colleagues to build and maintain excellent relationships.
  • Support accounts and the client lead with project management, ensuring ongoing client support, communication, development of project plans, and fulfilment of overlapping deliverables.
  • Lead meetings, presentations, and creative sessions as required.
  • Identify and respond to emerging design trends and evolving issues in visual communication, ensuring cutting-edge solutions for clients and Santis.
  • Support Santis’ internal brand and design needs.
  • Support proposal responses and other business development opportunities with visually engaging materials.


Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in graphic design, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • A portfolio of recent design work.
  • Previous consulting/agency experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience developing and executing design campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders, internal and external clients.
  • Expert-level skills in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and experience with web design platforms such as WordPress and Squarespace.
  • Experience with UI/UX design and knowledge of digital analytics are considered assets.


Required Skills:

  • An ‘eye for design’ and are detail oriented.
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills, including the ability to create engaging presentations and visual concepts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills – ability to juggle multiple clients and projects and competing deadlines on a regular basis.
  • Skilled in priority-setting, efficient time-management, and the ability to work independently.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert-level skills with online design programs like Canva.
  • Skilled in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the Google Suite for presentation and project management purposes.
  • High level of professionalism.
