The Opportunity


You can count on doing important and meaningful work spanning diverse sectors, provinces and situations. You will lead your own trauma-informed investigations, which includes, detailing allegations, conducting party interviews and obtaining relevant evidence, analyzing evidence to make findings of fact and credibility, drafting reports of your findings, doing legal research and managing client relationships. You may also engage in workplace assessments and/or workplace restoration processes.


While you will primarily work autonomously, there are both formal and informal opportunities for learning and collaboration with colleagues in a friendly, supportive and respectful environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Team


  • Experience investigating complex workplace, institutional and/or regulatory complaints
  • A licensed lawyer member of the Law Society of Ontario in good standing
  • A minimum of full professional proficiency in French
  • Ability to organize and synthesize large quantities of information and identify relevant information and facts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing
  • Strong client and self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands
  • A keen interest in promoting and supporting the firm and team members through non-billable activities such as blogging, speaking engagements, attending industry conferences, networking, mentoring etc.
  • Highly professional, adaptable and intrinsically motivated with a growth mindset
  • Demonstrated interest in equity, diversity and inclusion issues is an asset

L’opportunité


Votre travail sera important et valorisant et touchera à divers secteurs, provinces et circonstances. Vous mènerez vos propres enquêtes tenant compte des traumatismes, incluant notamment la documentation des allégations, la réalisation des entrevues des parties et l’obtention de preuves pertinentes, l’analyse des preuves pour l’établissement des faits et de la crédibilité, la rédaction des rapports de vos constatations, la recherche juridique et la gestion des relations clients. Vous pourriez également effectuer des évaluations du milieu de travail et participer dans le cadre de processus de rétablissement du milieu de travail.


Bien que votre travail se déroule principalement de façon autonome, il existe des opportunités formelles et informelles d’apprendre et de collaborer avec vos collègues dans un environnement favorable, amical et respectueux.

Ce que vous apporterez à l’équipe


  • Une expérience en enquêtes complexes en milieu de travail ou institutionnel et/ou en plaintes portant sur la réglementation.
  • Un•e juriste agréé•e, membre en règle du Barreau de l’Ontario.
  • La maîtrise de la langue française en milieu professionnel.
  • La capacité d’organiser et d’analyser de grandes quantités d’information et d’identifier les renseignements et les faits pertinents.
  • Un entregent exceptionnel et la capacité de communiquer efficacement, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
  • D’excellentes aptitudes de gestion personnelle et de la clientèle, incluant la capacité de hiérarchiser de multiples demandes concurrentes.
  • Un intérêt avéré pour la promotion et le soutien du cabinet et des membres de l’équipe dans le cadre d’activités non facturables comme le blogage, les allocutions, la participation aux conférences de l’industrie, le réseautage, le mentorat, etc.
  • Une attitude extrêmement professionnelle, polyvalente et motivée, combinée à une mentalité de croissance.
