Our client is seeking a Supplier Management Specialist with proven expertise in hydraulic systems and proprietary components. Ajax - Hybrid 3 days in office80-95K As the Supplier Management Specialist, you will leverage your technical product knowledge in hydraulic assemblies, precision machined parts, and specialized proprietary components to manage 10 to 12 key vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating, monitoring, and improving supplier performance to ensure they meet stringent quality, delivery, and cost standards, particularly those tied to proprietary specifications. In this position, you will develop and implement comprehensive supplier performance evaluation processes, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative metrics to monitor ongoing performance. You will conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering and proprietary design requirements, while identifying areas for improvement. Collaboration with suppliers will be critical, as you work together to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you will partner closely with internal engineering, quality, and procurement teams to address supplier-related issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.You should have 3 to 5 years of experience managing suppliers, including supplier risk management, conducting audits, and planning long-term strategic relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supplier risk management within a highly technical environment. Prior experience managing all aspects of supplier relationships is essential for success in this role. Experience establishing or managing supplier programs, particularly within hydraulic or proprietary component environments is essential. A strong technical background is crucial for success in this role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, are also key to excelling in this position.
