This role is a hands on role, that is a remarkable starting point for a hands on Mechanical Tech.

You likely have a love of cars or motorcycles, have done maintenance or equipment installation

Knowledge of dyne testing would be great


The Role:

As a Mechanical Testing Technician, you provide support to the entire team by making sure assemblies are built right and with quality. You make sure that the measurement equipment is set up, our vehicles are ready and safe to drive, and test rigs are running properly.

The role will mostly be hands-on but also includes measuring, reporting and creating the methods to do it right. You’ll also provide input into team decisions on how activities should be performed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • mechanical parts into assemblies, as well as disassembling, diagnosing, and storing.
  • transmissions to our vehicles, test dynos, and other test rigs.
  • vehicle mechanical work on under-hood systems including full powertrain modifications.
  • on monitored test parts, system diagnoses, and end of test component measurements.


Requirements:

  • assembling, disassembling, and diagnosing automotive mechanical components, typically in a workshop or garage environment. You may be a recent grad from a technical college, or a more experienced mechanic.
  • years of hands-on tool skills.
  • documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • in a clean and organized work environment where tools and materials are put away at the end of the day.
  • to work both independently and collaboratively with a range of skilled specialists.
  • to make improvements and bring forward observations.
