Roles: Directs and coordinates the activities relating to the shipping, receiving and warehousing of products in accordance with the organization's standards and requirements. Ensures workflow throughout the operations in a timely, efficient and effective manner to meet client demands and production schedules.


Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Coordinate the daily functions of the warehouse to ensure proper workflow for incoming and outgoing products and that adequate labor is always available.
  • Contribute to the warehouse layout/design of multiple warehouses to maximize the efficiency of the workflow.
  • Review and coordinate the daily out bound of pick tickets to ensure that all delivery dates are met without any additional expedited freight charges to make the delivery dates.
  • Manage Warehouse team including task assignment, recruitment, performance management,
  • relations and training & development.
  • Manage the inventory movement and transportation between multiple warehouses.
  • Responsible for the security and maintenance of all facilities.
  • Ensure that all pick tickets are picked/fulfilled /staged and shipped on schedule based on the given delivery dates for each store.
  • Maintain in good working condition all electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the warehouse. Work with the Maintenance department to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and undertake necessary inventory counts on a scheduled basis to ensure that system inventory matches actual inventory within the facility.
  • Standardize team building while reinforcing all department procedures,
  • Maintain the organization's environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards, as well as all governing legislative requirements.
  • Perform any other warehouse related duties as required by your manager.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum college degree in Logistics, Distribution or equivalent in work experience
  • Minimum 10 – 15 years of hands-on progressive Warehouse experience
  • Certified forklift license is an asset but not a factor
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory control and workflow design
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft, WMS, SAP, NetSuite
  • People skills, delegating, mentoring, team meetings and one on one discussions
  • Positive person with a get it done today attitude not tomorrow or the next day.
  • Someone that knows the warehouse/distribution business top to bottom and everything in between which includes all aspects involving shipping/receiving and stock placement.
