Interim Executive Director, Corporate Services

Our client is a fast-growing not-for-profit community healthcare services organization. They are looking for an experienced leader to help them elevate the sophistication and value of their corporate functions. This is a new role for the organization and will focus on setting the strategy, vision, and platform to enable the organization to achieve its future goals. This influential role involves strategic oversight of Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Procurement, IT, and Decision Support. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities and operational excellence. Responsible for financial performance across the client’s programs, the ED plans budgets, manages risk, develops policies, and implements strategic plans.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with the CEO to create a new progressive strategy for the corporate services functions.
- Assess the current state and provide insights to the CEO.
- Drive operational transformation to elevate efficiency and value of corporate services.
- Coach. lead and inspire a small and talented team.
- Work with the finance team to ensure control and access to organizational assets are appropriately managed.
- Leads facility management, including occupational health & safety, procurement, payroll, and HR.
- Lead process for annual organizational and program budget planning and execution.
- Lead capital planning and renovations as needed.
- Oversee the management of technology infrastructure and information security.
- Manage data and analytics functions through the Quality and Decision Support team.
- Plan for future technology needs to enhance organizational operations and integrated approaches across the system and with other partners.
- Manage facility maintenance, cleaning, and security.
- Oversee the organizational approaches to procurement including ensuring the process is in compliance with internal policies and legislative or funder requirements.
- Coordinate accreditation, risk management, and strategic planning processes.
- Assist in policy creation for finance, occupational health & safety, and other areas.
- Negotiate insurance coverage and manage financial and capital assets.
Competencies and Requirements:
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, health administration, or relevant field.
- CPA designation is a must.
- 5-7 years of progressive management experience in complex non-profit or healthcare organizations.
- Leadership in performance management, government funding, and accountability monitoring preferred.
- Experience with procurement and contract management considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and practices.
- Proven ability to provide effective leadership in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Expertise in planning, evaluation, and quality monitoring systems.
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and compliance within multi-funded environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong business management skills including strategic planning, resource allocation, and analytics.
- Effective relationship-building skills with funders, staff, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership in fostering innovation and achieving organizational goals.
