OverviewJoin to apply for the Hospitalist role at Interior Health Authority. When you become a part of our hospitalist team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH), you’ll be a key player in delivering patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be part of a close-knit group of professionals focused on providing advanced, comprehensive, and patient-centered care. Your expertise will span a wide range of hospital-based medical care, including complex medical conditions, surgical patients, and specialized care needs. You will be the key physician during hospital stays, creating treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic insights, prescribing medications, and making crucial medical decisions. Collaboration is essential as you work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Your day-to-day involves participating in transitions of care, engaging in initiatives to uplift care quality, and involvement in medical education endeavours. You will advocate for patients’ medical needs and contribute to a healthcare environment that prioritizes excellence and compassion. The hospitalist program collaborates with the UBC Faculty of Medicine and residency programs to provide mentoring and clinical teaching opportunities. There are opportunities to engage in Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) projects with support from Doctors of BC.
