Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to lead billing and collections operations for a dynamic organization in the education sector. In this role, you will oversee a team of professionals to ensure accurate invoicing, efficient collections, and excellent customer service. This is a contract-to-permanent position located in Toronto, Ontario, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while driving operational excellence.Responsibilities:- Supervise and mentor a team of billing and collections staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.- Establish and monitor monthly and quarterly collection targets while analyzing key performance metrics to improve outcomes.- Manage escalated customer disputes, investigating issues and negotiating resolutions to ensure satisfaction.- Oversee compliance with internal billing policies, procedures, and data privacy standards, ensuring all processes are documented and up-to-date.- Prepare detailed performance reports and forecasts, highlighting risks and recommending strategies to minimize receivable balances.- Build and maintain strong relationships with families and internal stakeholders to address complex account concerns effectively.- Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce outstanding balances.- Ensure seamless communication and coordination with external legal or third-party collection agencies when required.- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable, including supervisory or team leadership roles.- Proficiency in billing and collections systems, credit card and pre-approved payment handling, and dispute resolution processes.- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Business Central, and the Microsoft 365 suite.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members to achieve performance goals.- Excellent communication skills for engaging with families, stakeholders, and internal teams.- Proven problem-solving abilities, including effective negotiation and decision-making in high-pressure situations.- Familiarity with collections automation tools and CRM systems is an asset.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
