Become a vital part of the WOCRC team as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner, supporting youth ages 12-26 in Kanata, Goulburn, and West Carleton. This casual, flexible role involves outreach, community engagement, and program facilitation.

This position focuses on empowering at-risk youth through community-based initiatives and mentorship programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in youth support and will develop workshops that enhance life skills, self-confidence, and social skills. Availability for evening and weekend shifts is essential, as well as an understanding of community dynamics and advocacy for youth issues.

Key Responsibilities: • Conduct outreach to identify youth and family needs • Develop leadership and mentoring workshops for participants • Facilitate project activities and community forums • Promote and supervise community volunteerism • Liaise with program staff to ensure needs are met

Requirements: • Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work • Minimum 1 year experience in youth support • Experience with group facilitation and leadership • Knowledge of LGBTQ+ youth support strategies • Excellent communication skills in English
