We are hiring a Materials Coordinator for a 1-year contract to support operations at a remote site near Fort McMurray. This FIFO role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in materials handling and logistics in industrial or energy sector environments.Location: Fort McMurray, AB (FIFO)Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days offAccommodation: Camp providedContract Type: 1-Year Fixed-TermKey Responsibilities:• Provide updates for material status and open purchase orders, including expediting, tracking and returns.• Coordinate scheduling for orders based on material lead times and arrival dates.• Provide status updates and follow-up to internal client groups.• Maintains integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory by location.• Responsible for year-end physical inventory counts as well as daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.• Maintains records/spreadsheets for repairs and plan for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.• Works closely with Supply Chain Buyers & Operations personnel to prepare, execute and follow material orders and deliveries. Helps to maintain inventory traceability and accuracy.• Physically capable of lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds.Required Skills/Competencies• Intermediate level, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience.• Warehouse oil and gas experience, familiarity with materials, inventory management.• Operator lifting equipment.• Validate Class 5 driver’s license.• Experience with software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP and GEP).• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management, processes, and procedures.• Effective time management & strong organizational skills.• Keen attention to detail & adherence to quality work.• Working in teams and customer service experience.• Effective interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build & maintain effective, trusting relationships with internal stakeholders. Strong influence, facilitation & networking ability.
