What you can expect to do here:
  • You will supervise drill rig operations, and ensure efficient and safe soil and rock core logging during fieldwork.
  • You will install monitoring wells and collect water level data and contribute to hydrological research by setting up and maintaining monitoring equipment.
  • You will conduct various aquifer testing methods, including pumping tests to assess groundwater flow and aquifer properties.
  • You will sample soil, groundwater, and surface water to support data collection and analysis by gathering environmental samples.
  • You will coordinate subcontractors and equipment for field programs and facilitate smooth field operations.
  • You will manage project-related field notes and data and maintain accurate records for analysis and reporting.
  • You will analyze field data, create tables and figures, and contribute to project reports.
  • You will collaborate with hydrogeologists, engineers, and team members to work together to achieve project goals.
  • You will adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • You will prioritize safety, setting an example for other staff members in the field, and demonstrate a "Safety-First" focus.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Diploma or degree in hydrogeology, environmental science, geology, or a related field.
  • One to two years of relevant work experience is preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and critical thinking skills with particular attention to detail and accuracy of field notes.
  • Enthusiastic, versatile, and willing to take on responsibility;
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic;
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required;
  • Strong awareness of health and safety issues and a safety conscious attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with clients and stakeholders.
