We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Manager of Family Treatment Program (FTP) to provides leadership, supervision, and resource management to a variety of staff in the Family Treatment Programs. The Manager of FTP is expected to ensure a high standard of family services are delivered, including crisis intervention, counseling, psycho-education, skill building, case management, and advocacy. The Manager of FTP is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and therapeutic work environment. The Manager of FTP ensures policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.

The Manager of FTP is responsible for integrating the family program with internal agency stakeholders, referring agencies, and community programs, while ensuring the family remains the focal point of all planning and collaboration. The Manager of FTP leads the team within a cross-functional, multidisciplinary, integrated, and collaborative model of treatment. The Manager of FTP ensures the successful implementation of CARE principles throughout the program and evidence based in home family reunification/preservation services.

Qualifications

Education and Professional Certification
  • Master's degree in social work or in a related human service field is preferred.
  • Registration with a professional governing body.

Experience
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience working with children, youth, and/or families.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, providing leadership, guidance, support, and development to team members.

  • Knowledge of child development and parenting skills and strategies.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based theoretical models and therapeutic approaches related to mental health, addictions, domestic violence, trauma, attachment, reunification/preservation services, and other clinical issues within the field of intensive family practice.
  • Knowledge of formal clinical assessment tools used to assess overall family functioning and relevant needs within the family system.
  • Open to continuous education and learning and development opportunities.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Services
  • Provides clinical consultation to multidisciplinary staff. Clinical consultation to support ongoing clinical development, reflective practice and enhanced service delivery.
  • Provide high-level supervision of home-based family treatment services to incoming therapists, and program team members as assigned.
  • Oversee and support the development and implementation of individual and family treatment plans and clinical intervention strategies for the participants in collaboration with families and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide clinical oversight of individual and family treatment plans including all aspects of participation in the treatment program, evaluation of progress reports, completion of documentation, and providing information and feedback to the stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic milieu. Oversight of treatment groups for the FTP
  • Ensure the participant's needs are met in accordance with policy and procedures including safety, treatment, medication administration, healthcare, documentation, nutrition, chores, and hygiene.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of a comprehensive training package for the Family Treatment Programs.
  • Provide 24/7 therapeutic on-call crisis support on a rotational basis and in-home supervision when required.
  • Provide post-crisis response and debriefing follow-up and training to individuals, families, and staff.
  • Participate in and facilitate meetings and planning sessions with internal and external stakeholders regarding the program and the participants.
  • Represent the team and participants at planning conferences, family consultations/meetings, educational conferences, and conferences with other stakeholders as required.
  • Participate in community events, agency activities, and other activities as required.
  • Complete reports and other required documentation in a clear, accurate, and timely manner. Disseminate important information to families and referring agencies in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the family treatment team's documentation in permanent records, working papers, and intra-unit communications is complete and in compliance with agency standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Participate in the development of the Clinical Manual for the FTPS informed and guided by the CARE principles and Homebuilders Model -to fit with the specific needs, preferences and operations of the program.
  • Developing and organizing this guiding framework/resource into an accessible, ready to use format for staff training. Delivery of this training to new program staff Group Oversight, Development and Facilitation.

Leadership
  • Provide clinical supervision, support, and guidance to FPT's by attending home visits and evaluating the delivery of treatment plans to participants.
  • Manage the team within their program including recruitment and selection, performance management, professional development, and progressive discipline.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and team development for all employees of the program including facilitating team meetings and individual supervisions; overseeing and providing training and development plans; completing evaluations, reviews, and when applicable, performance improvement plans; providing post-crisis debriefing; and providing advice and consultation.
  • Responsible to ensure direct reports have completed mandatory training.
  • Use outcomes to contribute to the overall program development including training curricula, program components, and policy and procedural development.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.

Management of Resources
  • Schedule the FPT's of the program for 24/7/365 coverage for the family treatment program. Manage and update the schedules as required including approving paid time off (PTO) requests and addressing staffing requirements and the complications that arise from child welfare involved families.
  • Responsible for the oversight and appropriate use of all agency resources assigned to the program.
  • Prepare and reconcile the program's monthly operating budget, with specific responsibilities for the monthly working fund projections as applicable.
  • Provide input into the program's annual strategic plan and capital plan.
  • Account for the successful implementation of the operating plans within the assigned program.
  • In collaboration with facilities, coordinate ensure care and maintenance of treatment homes and assigned assets including building(s), vehicles(s), furnishings, and equipment.

  • Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.
  • Include health and safety in departmental plans with measurable goals and objectives.

The incumbent is responsible for completing all mandatory training requirements for the position as per agency policy and guidelines.

Employees must hold a class five (5) novice two (2) or higher driver's license and be eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy.

The incumbent registered with an accredited professional association or body is preferred.

Annual salary range for this position is $82,326 to $106,412.
