Introduction

The Advanced Education and Training department is seeking for a Finance Analyst to join the Finance and Administration Division.
Conditions of Employment: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.  Qualifications: Essential: Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Other equivalent combination of education, training and related experience maybe considered. Relevant experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Experience interpreting financial and administration policies procedures and regulations. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage large amounts of financial data using spreadsheet functions and tools. Experience working with SAP or similar computerized systems. Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing bank reconciliations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a variety of written documents.  Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with different stakeholders.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Duties: The Financial Analyst provides financial support to Manitoba Student Aid in the completion of various daily and monthly financial processes. This position plays an integral part in ensuring that provincial loans, Manitoba Bursary Fund, and Canada Student Grants for persons with disabilities are disbursed to students on time and that bank accounts are reconciled daily ensuring proper control and compliance to the government policy.
