Reporting to the Manager, you will work collaboratively with a team of Design Leaders, Engineers and Specialists across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure that BIM is effectively utilized to optimize project design and operations.

What you can expect do here:
  • Developing the Design BIM strategy for the project in accordance with client requirements, lifecycle needs and the project goals;
  • Acting as the key point of contact for Design regarding Design BIM systems, processes and implementation; Leading the Design system set-up for the project (ProjectWise and ACC/BIM360);
  • Leading the development of the Design BEP, and Design BIM Uses;
  • Enforcing the best practices for Civil 3D and Revit workflows;
  • Collaborating with Construction BIM Team to develop the BIM Use requirements;
  • Developing, maintaining, distributing and enforcing the Design BIM Execution Plan;
  • Monitoring and reporting the Design BIM Team performance to the Design Manager;
  • Other duties as required.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • A University Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred), Architecture, or a related field with 5 - 10 years of experience;
  • Superior knowledge of Revit, ACC/BIM360, ProjectWise, Autodesk Civil 3D, and other BIM support tools;
  • Working experience with ISO 19650 BIM standards;
  • Experience with ensuring drawing delivery meets CAD/BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work and the requirements for the project BIM Execution Plan;
  • Comfortable managing team leaders and senior CAD/BIM staff members from other offices and various disciplines;
  • Established understanding of BIM quality assurance guidelines and standards;
  • Previous experience with supporting National and/or Regional BIM standards;
  • Experience with rail and transit projects;
  • Previous experience with design automation and production through technology.
  • Passion for BIM technologies with ability to promote these technologies and practices to increase user effectiveness;
  • Ability to script in PowerBI, Dynamo/Python programming is desirable;
  • AR/VR experience considered an asset;
  • Proven leadership and management skills;
  • Ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units in a matrix organization with little to no supervision;
  • Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentation, leadership, and report writing proficiency with a strong desire and ability to collaborate in problem solving in an integrated team environment;
  • Experience in a Consulting Engineering environment is an asset.
