  • Design power plants, machines and equipment

  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
  • Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Print in 3D
  • Design and develop medical diagnostic and clinical instrumentation, equipment and procedures
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of componentsSupervision
  • No supervision responsibilityCertificates, licences, memberships, and courses 
  • SOLIDWORKS Certification
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial associationComputer and technology knowledge
