Our product

Float empowers companies and teams with smart financial products, helping them achieve their most ambitious goals. We're making business finance more accessible and saving Canadian companies and their teams time and money, while disrupting the multi-trillion dollar global B2B finance industry. Backed by some of the best venture capital investors in the world, including Tiger Global, Golden Ventures, and Susa Ventures, we're looking for pioneers to help us achieve our vision.

About the Senior Product Marketing Manager role

We're looking for an outstanding Senior Product Marketing Manager to join Float as we build the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams. At Float, Product Marketing acts as a critical partner to Product. You'll be in charge of launching and scaling new products that the Product team builds, focusing on customer adoption to achieve aggressive business goals.

This is a career defining opportunity to be a part of a critical and impactful function at an extremely high growth organization changing the way Canadian businesses operate.

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager at Float you'll be responsible for:

  • Driving Product Adoption: In partnership with your Product counterparts, drive the adoption of new and existing Float products through skilled positioning, effective messaging and impactful integrated campaigns – ultimately driving revenue and stickiness for Float, and business impact for our customers.
  • Harnessing Data and Research to Drive Impact: Conduct thorough research and competitive analysis to inform Float's product marketing approach in advance of each launch – understanding internal data, emerging industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive offerings to ensure Float's products are well-positioned and truly differentiated.
  • Scaling Product Education: Educate customers at scale on product features by developing and disseminating clear, engaging content, such as in-app messaging, webinars, and tutorials tailored to address the needs and questions of our customers.
  • Acting as a Cross-Functional Partner: Equip the sales and customer success teams with the necessary product-related content to effectively sell and drive adoption of Float. Utilize insights gathered throughout your work to help the Product and Marketing teams guide future product development and marketing strategies, ensuring Float remains at the forefront of innovation and customer obsession.

Requirements

You'll be great in this role if:

  • You've got the experience. With 7+ years of Product Marketing or Product Management experience, in B2B SaaS or fintech, you're no stranger to the industry or the types of customers we serve. Startup or growth-stage experience will be an advantage.
  • You're customer obsessed and data-oriented. You take a detailed, customer-centric approach to product marketing. You go deep to understand nuanced customer needs in the context of a fast-evolving market landscape. You leverage customer insights to connect Float's products to the solving of customer problems. You seek data to inform your areas of focus and measure your impact.
  • You're tenacious and results-driven – without ego. You set aggressive goals, and have a reputation for working tenaciously to smash them, not letting anything get in your way. You have demonstrated your ability to drive product adoption by leveraging thoughtful campaigns, in-app experiences, email content and frontline team enablement. You also have a one team mentality, working cross functionally to help Float win vs. just focusing on the product marketing function.
  • You have a track record of cross-functional partnership. You excel in working with teams across different domains, such as sales, product, and customer success, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product marketing.
  • You're an excellent communicator. You have excellent communication skills and are able to craft compelling narratives and persuasive arguments in a variety of formats, including memos, presentations, and reports. You are a skilled listener who is able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.
  • You're constantly learning and growing. You relish in the fact that everyday there is an opportunity to learn something new and become an expert in. You're a quick study and can learn on the fly. You stay curious, want to make mistakes, and grow from failure.
  • You're an owner. You set a high bar for yourself and others, and enjoy fostering a culture of excellence. You're eager to roll-up your sleeves to get building and create immediate impact.

This role won't be a fit if:

  • You prefer a highly structured work environment
  • You are not super detail oriented
  • You are not comfortable working collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • You are not comfortable with ambiguity and frequently changing priorities
  • You are uncomfortable with receiving and giving direct feedback
  • You are uncomfortable with change
  • You aren't resilient
  • You have an ego
  • You aren't super passionate about helping Float build the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams

Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.

Benefits

Perks of working at Float:

  • Competitive compensation & total rewards
  • Flexible work hours and time off‍ when you need to recharge
  • Small team = lots of autonomy to make an outsized impact
  • Opportunity to work with and learn from a world-class team
  • A Float card with a personal stipend to spend on what matters most to you
  • A dog-friendly office
  • Being able to say you helped build Canada's best corporate card and spend management platform
