About the Opportunity

The Senior Business / Systems Analyst reports to and will take direction from the Cancer Care Program (CCP) Clinical and Operational Support Manager. This position is responsible for the requirement gathering, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for Oncology Transformational Project technology solutions across NSH CCP.

The Cancer Care Program - Senior Business / Systems Analyst works with their team to collaborate with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout NSH and the province to ensure the technology solution and functions meet business requirements as the NS CCP moves towards the implementation of Oncology Transformation Project.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or systems support an asset.
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology an asset.
  • Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting an asset.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (BA), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset.
  • Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
  • Ability to solicit, document, and present business requirements
  • Identify and document issues or problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis an asset
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues.
  • Organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate the NSH Cancer Care Program vision, mission and values.
  • Competencies in other languages as asset; French preferred
