Lead Teacher Opportunity

Fueling Brains Academies is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our award-winning team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that inspires children to think creatively and explore their senses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan open-ended activities that promote collaborative learning and encourage children to think outside the box.
  • Collaborate with classroom teams to develop and implement weekly lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Model and guide children to respect themselves and others, and to spark imagination and build self-esteem.
  • Document children's learning moments, successes, and challenges to inform future planning and ensure the educational success of each child.
  • Supervise children at all times, ensuring a safe and secure environment inside and outside the classroom.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience working in a Reggio-inspired practice or emergent curriculum.
  • Early Childhood Certification and Bachelor's Degree.
  • Alberta Child Care Certification Level 2 or higher.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
