The Yukon Development Corporation (YDC) is governed by a board of directors appointed by the Government of Yukon. We have a legislative mandate to participate with the private sector in the economic development of the Yukon. YDC's focus is on the energy transition, through supporting the development of new sources of generation in partnerships with First Nations and utilities. YDC is responsible for oversight of the Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) on behalf of Yukoners, as its sole shareholder.

Reporting to the Vice-President of YDC, this position provides executive assistance support to the President and YDC staff, and acts as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. It coordinates the flow of information between the Yukon Development Corporation (YDC) and Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC).

Essential Qualifications

Certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration or other related field. Experience providing senior administrative and executive support (i.e., Travel coordination, logistical support, managing schedule, managing casework processes, preparing briefing books, drafting correspondence etc.) preferably in a government setting. Experience providing secretariat functions to boards and committees (i.e., Coordination, drafting agendas, minute taking etc.)

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability

To best support the achievement of key strategic and business objectives, candidates may be assessed on:
