Job Title: Occupational Therapist Degree Senior

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist Degree Senior to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Occupational Therapy department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive client-centered care to patients/clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the delivery of occupational therapy services to ensure patients/clients receive comprehensive client-centered care within the framework of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and guidance to staff therapists and other team members.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient/client.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients/clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree.
  • Registered Occupational Therapist (OT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) and valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in occupational therapy.
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT) standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
