Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a, Co-op Industrial Engineer/ Information Systems for the Fall Term with our Technology Planning Team within our IT Department.

What you'll do:

In collaboration with Technology Planning Team Members, your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Data analysis - actual vs planned effort; actual vs planned duration; workflow analysis; data quality analysis (fit for purpose, consistency and currency)
  • Data entry and data clean up
  • Process improvement - assess and propose adjustments to work planning and estimation models; design and implement associated estimation tools
  • Metrics development and automation - define and develop metrics for targeted areas of workflow and process performance. Assess needed data vs. available system data and identify gaps. Develop automated or semi-automated metrics reporting framework. Further analysis and exploration based on generated insights.
  • Potential development in Power Automate, Power BI dashboard, excel and other tools in support of above

Who you are:

Working as a valued part of our Technology Strategic Planning Team, you will bring:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor ́s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Information Management or related fields.
  • Systems thinking mindset, with strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience performing data assessment and analysis.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience developing in MS Power Apps an asset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
