Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at St. Boniface Hospital. As an LPN, you will provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments and collaboration with the healthcare team. Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge. Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being.

Requirements:

Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program. Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM). Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training at the Healthcare Provider level. Ability to work independently and as a member of the healthcare team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients. Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent, related experience in emergency nursing. Successful completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO) training. Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration. Ability to speak an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
