About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Automation Tester to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our real-time aeronautical and synthetic environment software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute automated software validation using various testing tools executed on cloud and on-premises labs.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure seamless integration of testing and validation processes.
  • Support system designers in implementing integrated test strategies.
  • Work with performance team members to execute QTG tests through DevOps & GitHub-Actions pipeline for Defence & Security projects.
  • Integrate standard platform tests released by infrastructure teams into defence and security projects.
  • Create and define automated testing plans for defence and security products through DevOps/GitHub-Action pipeline using various testing platforms.
  • Help set up DevOps/GitHub-Action to execute testing plans of various labs.
  • Analyze test failures and work with product teams to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Proficiency in C#, PowerShell, and F# programming and scripting languages.
  • Good understanding of configuration management tools (e.g. GitHub).
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment with non-repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
  • Good planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Aircraft system and aerospace knowledge is a plus.
  • CAE software application knowledge is a plus.
