**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Wilkie Health Centre. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical services to our community.

**Job Description:**

  • Respond to emergency calls for service, providing assessment, treatment, and transportation of ill or injured persons.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.

**Requirements:**

  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
  • Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
  • CMA accredited Pre-hospital Care Program-EMR

**Competencies:**

  • Basic - Communication skills
  • Basic - Interpersonal skills

**Knowledge and Abilities:**

  • Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to keep effective work relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds

**Other Information:**

  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Ability to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
