Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Category Team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Category Managers and Cross Functional Specialists to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Category Managers with assortment planning activities, including collaboration with cross-functional partners, line reviews, and item file management.
  • Assist Category Managers with merchandise event and promotional planning, execution, and advertisement proofing, including item selection templates, sample collection, and advertising template completion.
  • Support Category Managers with vendor management and related compliance activities, including vendor training, new vendor agreements, and compliance issue resolution.
  • Provide ongoing support and direction to vendors regarding Walmart processes and procedures.
  • Support the compliance group with product recalls, entering pertinent information into the system for business action.
  • Offer store support for merchandising inquiries and issues, including UPC helpline issues, stock management, and modulars.
  • Assist in developing seasonal and monthly guides.
  • Attend weekly commodity flow meetings with Category Managers, Supply Chain, and Merchandise Planning to review inventory flow.
  • Maintain STEP and item file maintenance.
  • Facilitate end-to-end content onboarding and support.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Ecommerce teams to optimize vendor content.
  • Act as a liaison between brick-and-mortar and Ecommerce merchandising within Walmart, working with the Walmart brick-and-mortar team to optimize processes and leverage support for best practices.
  • Assist Category Managers in setting up new vendors and assisting new vendors in creating new items for online listings.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' relevant merchandising experience.
  • Retail or Ecommerce experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in undertaking and interpreting research.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional relevant experience in merchandising or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Walmart processes and procedures.
