Cook Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cook Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring the production, quality assurance, and profitability of all menu items.

About the Role:

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production and excellent customer service
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and ordering of food supplies
  • Cook and prepare menu items to meet quality and presentation standards
  • Manage cash handling and reporting, including daily sales and cash reports
  • Ensure compliance with Compass Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and WHMIS regulations
  • Recommend and implement cost-saving measures to reduce food and labor costs

About You:

  • Previous cooking experience and strong supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Sound knowledge of financial management, including the ability to control food and labor costs
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
