You, as a Project Manager for our Project Advisory & Management team will:
Advise the clients, through the application of your experience and understanding of design, construction and operations.
Lead clients through the set-up, initiation, execution, and monitoring of the project.
Involve in preparation of schedules, cost estimates and budgets for the project.
Support the senior project managers by making schedule updates, establishing project controls, creating progress reports to ensure successful project update and completion.
Prepare and develop bids and contract documentation.
Monitor and control the progress of work, identifies any bottlenecks, directs, guides and recommends corrective action to ensure smooth and timely completion of each project.
Lead and maintain the negotiations of claims, back charges and variations, etc. with contractors and vendors.
Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Understand and perform document control functions, including tracking and creating of RFI's, submittals, and maintain project action list.
Have prior experience in restoration projects, design management, construction contract administration, and project finance.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
Demonstrate proficient computer skills, including proficiency in MS Project, Excel and word. Working knowledge of online construction management platforms (Procore, Fieldwire... etc.).
Take a results-oriented approach and be able to take action and responsibility.
Show exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the capability to prioritize tasks to meet urgent deadlines and client requirements.
Display self-motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm to learn and contribute to the project objectives.
Is this the right role for you?
A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, quantity surveying or an equivalent.
Minimum10 years of experience as a consultant engineering and/or as a contractor delivering ICI, capital projects and/or equivalent.
Capable of travelling between multiple sites.
A PMP is an asset.
