Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Team Lead to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing daily production schedules, ensuring successful manufacturing operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks
  • Work closely with team members and operations manager to identify and resolve issues, and implement solutions
  • Conduct root cause and counter measure investigations to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs safely and efficiently
  • Monitor and track production performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement events and problem-solving activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience at a leadership level
  • Minimum High School Diploma; College or Science degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing and knowledge of ISO13485 and MDSAP preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work 6am to 2:30pm weekly and 2pm to 10:30pm if necessary
