Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients' physical and psychological needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes. You will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and promote patient autonomy, respect, dignity, and access to information.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and psychological needs to identify problems and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and promote patient autonomy, respect, dignity, and access to information
- Develop and implement teaching plans to promote patient and family participation in care and health management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documents care provided
- Participate in quality improvement activities and research to identify patient care issues and generate recommendations for alternative approaches to nursing care
- Participate in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff and students
- Utilize human and material resources in a cost-effective manner in the delivery of patient care
- Participate as an active member on nursing and/or hospital committees, interprofessional conferences, and councils for improvement of patient care
Graduation from an approved school of Nursing and current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) are required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a healthcare team, and have the ability to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment.
