Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Join Walmart, a leading retail corporation, as a Compliance Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Job Summary:

This position involves collaborating with various levels of management, including Store Management, Market Management, and Subject Matter Experts, to educate associates and managers on compliance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring compliance controls, identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and promoting continuous improvement to build trust with customers, associates, stakeholders, and regulatory entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compliance and safety awareness leveraging Ethics and Compliance resources.
  • Conduct assessments in facilities across designated compliance subject matter areas, including Health & Safety/Fire Code, Environmental, Consumer Protection, Anti Money Laundering, Food Safety/Pest Control, Privacy & Employment, Licenses & Permits, and Anti-Corruption.
  • Deliver on-the-spot compliance training at all levels within the facility, including the Compliance portion of new associate orientation.
  • Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and/or trends, identify root causes, and support the creation and execution of action plans to mitigate risks and drive compliance execution.
  • Participate in regulatory visits, including online submissions and engaging partners for resolution of orders or fines.
  • Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process, including online submissions, accident investigations, modified offer letters, and follow-up until resolution.
  • Foster 2-way communication with Store Management to ensure attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability.
  • Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.
  • Submit and follow up on Facilities Maintenance requests, including management of pest activity.
  • Leverage escalation tools to resolve issues and outstanding tickets.
  • Conduct safety walks and inspections as an active safety team member.
  • Follow up on action items identified through Safety Team meeting notes & Inspections.
