We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Stocker to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Stocker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized meat department, ensuring that all products are properly stocked and rotated, and providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities- Zoning the department to ensure efficient product placement and customer flow.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
- Ensuring that all merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Providing excellent customer service by taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and assisting customers with their needs.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and other products.
- Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
