Job Summary: Boiler Operator/General Laborer position at G3 Terminal Vancouver requires efficient operation of equipment, adherence to safety standards, and effective communication with control room.

Located on the North Shore of Burrard Inlet, G3 Terminal Vancouver is a world-class grain export facility. Our safety-centric culture focuses on developing individuals in a team environment.

**Job Title:** Boiler Operator/General Laborer

**Location:** G3 Terminal Vancouver

The Boiler Operator/General Laborer is accountable to the Operations Manager for the efficient and quality operation throughout the Facility. Key areas of responsibility include:

• Planning, organizing, and operating various pieces of equipment to achieve efficient quality operation
• Monitoring equipment to ensure customer quality requirements are met or exceeded
• Identifying training needs to ensure skills are current with General Labourer duties
• Coordinating operations with Control Room through effective communications
• Ensuring Safe Operation of General Labourer duties, adhering to Safe Operations Standards
• Participating in and recommending safety initiatives to improve the department
• Maintaining housekeeping performance standards in areas of responsibility
• Monitoring operational integrity of equipment and reporting maintenance requirements
• Completing required documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Maintaining constructive working relations with all terminal departments and outside agencies

**Qualifications:**

• Preference given to those with valid 5th Class or higher Power Engineers certification
• Applicants must participate in all required training and have a thorough understanding of the Facility
• Demonstrated initiative, leadership, diplomacy, and ability to contribute to efficient operation of a terminal elevator
• Ability to plan, organize, and coach, as well as oral, written, and job-related computer skills
• Ability to work shift work on a continuous operating schedule
