Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance

At Equitable, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and providing meaningful analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information used by management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions
  • Analyze and recommend financial reporting changes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and ensure compliance with IFRS, OSFI, CLHIA, and other standards and regulations
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve financial reporting and analysis
  • Work closely with the Corporate Finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or international equivalent
  • Experience in the life insurance industry or life insurance financial reporting is an asset
  • Technical knowledge of general accounting concepts, accounting standards, and policies
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality output
  • Foundational problem-solving, prioritizing, and analytical thinking skills
  • Expert communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to expert level of proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
