Service Technician Job Description

Eastlink is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Newfoundland West. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service to our customers through the identification, troubleshooting, and correction of service problems in the outside plant for both forward and return path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers through the identification and resolution of service problems.
  • Work in a fast-paced customer-facing environment to ensure timely and effective resolution of service issues.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to maintain the outside plant network and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in in-house technical and safety training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized Electronics program.
  • Relevant industry repair and maintenance experience is considered an asset.
  • NCTI or SCTE training is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to manually lift, push, and pull up to 90 lbs.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, and work above shoulders on occasion.
