Job Title: HVAC Apprentice

Reporting To: Field Manager

Department: Home Services Operations

Rate of Pay: Pay Rates as defined in the Collective Agreement

Hours: Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs, 8-4:30pm, 12pm-8pm, 1pm-9pm

Complete diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of equipment for home service, acting as a key customer interface and revenue generator for the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for delivering high levels of customer service excellence
  • Responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction levels in our Home Services Operations group
  • Performing diagnostic and repair work effectively and efficiently to company standards
  • Providing customers with advice on repair or replacement of equipment
  • Promoting Enercare Home Services products and services
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment are in good and safe working condition
  • Keeping the company vehicle clean and well-maintained
  • Stocking the vehicle with necessary materials for daily duties
  • Meeting all apprentice training requirements and maintaining passing grades
  • Arranging EI during MTCU training

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Gas Technician 2 or Gas Technician 1 license
  • Must have CFC Permit or ability to obtain one
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Physically able to perform heavy lifting as per the Physical Demands Analysis
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment related to servicing HVAC equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Dedication to delivering customer-focused service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Result-oriented with a focus on individual and team performance
