Job Summary

As part of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Team (TalentED YYC ) this position will contribute to the success of the Employer Engagement Team and WIL Team at large by coordinating external and internal communications and events, triaging and managing centralized communications using a CRM, and supporting employer data management activities. These activities enable the WIL team to efficiently educate and advise employers on WIL options to meet their needs; furthering the goals of Calgary Economic Development to grow businesses and careers in Calgary.

This is a 9 month full-time contract with an exact end date of March 31, 2025.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholder contacts and communications for Employer Engagement, including meeting management, triage, and contact management in a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Draft key communications to various employer segments and distribute using CRM.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external employer-centric events.
  • Plan and prepare materials (Eventbrite, swag, banners, SharePoint folders, surveys, etc.), logistics, and communications for internal and external events.
  • Provide facilitator and participant support and on-site coordination, ensuring smooth technical setup and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Submit purchase requests, contracts, and invoices from vendors using prescribed Finance processes and systems (Concur), as required.
  • Support Employer Engagement Specialists to update and maintain employer records, deal and lead tracking, sequences, and other data in the CRM, Magnet, and Orbis.
  • Capture and compile qualitative and quantitative data across Employer Engagement Team for monthly reporting, ensuring data is consistently and accurately captured across relevant platforms (CRM, Orbis, Magnet, Excel, etc).
  • Compile reports to support the Employer Engagement team with monitoring, analyzing, and implementing sales and service-related improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal CED departments, employers, Post-secondary Institutions, eco-system partners.
  • Directly support small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs) to navigate Work Integrated Learning options, processes, and resources.

Education:

Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing, communications, or human resources

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience, preferably in career services or human resources

Previous experience working in a post-secondary institution or non-profit considered an asset

CPHR credential or Career Professional designation is considered an asset

Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
