WestJet is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead the strategic development and delivery of key products that align with the company's business goals.

About the Role:

The Senior Product Owner will be an important member of the Digital Business Development and Consulting team at WestJet. This role requires a strong understanding of business strategy, stakeholder management, and product lifecycle leadership, as well as the ability to work across functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all product initiatives align with strategic objectives and drive business value.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and incorporate feedback.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, ensuring projects meet objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Clearly communicate product vision and strategy to cross-functional teams, driving alignment and shared understanding.
  • Use data insights to inform product decisions, track performance, and present findings in a compelling way to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment, fostering collaboration and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Identify and resolve challenges quickly, adapting to shifting priorities as necessary.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements, working closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership, consulting or management, preferably in a tech-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering product initiatives that create business impact.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills.
