You'll be responsible for leading the opening of Food and Support Services in a new Seniors Living Facility, managing client relations, ensuring resident and customer satisfaction, and overseeing staff.

  • Lead the opening of Food and Support Services in a new and dynamic Seniors Living Facility.
  • Manage multiple client relations.
  • Ensure resident and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health, safety and environmental programs.
  • Develop and implement menu planning, standardized recipes, and production sheets to meet nutritional requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate meal preparation and service to ensure established standards.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of resident preferences and incorporate them into service delivery.
  • Hire, orientate, supervise, and delegate tasks for food service, maintenance, and housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain budgetary and cost controls, and provide operational reports.
  • Implement and control a Food Safety Plan.
  • Maintain inventory control and complete financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education, at least 7 years of progressive foodservice management experience, and a proven track record of leading a customer-centric hospitality environment.

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 7+ years of progressive foodservice management experience.
  • Experience in multi-site management, housekeeping, and maintenance services.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to supervise employees.
  • Knowledge of local provincial food premises regulations and applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively with residents and guests.
  • Canadian Society of Nutrition Management membership is an asset.
  • Advanced Food Safety Training and Level 1 and 2 Health and Safety Certification training.
