**Job Summary:** Assist with buying, receiving, and merchandising retail items for the Provincial Parks retail program, managing inventory, and collaborating with other branches.

**About the Role:**

The Assistant Retail Buyer and Receiver will be responsible for assisting with buying, receiving, and merchandising retail items for the Provincial Parks retail program. This role will involve managing inventory within the warehouse and individual park stores, preparing and arranging deliveries to park stores, and preparing physical and digital inventory transfers from one location to another.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage inventory within the warehouse and individual park stores
  • Prepare and arrange deliveries to park stores
  • Prepare physical and digital inventory transfers from one location to another
  • Receive deliveries at the warehouse, check for defects, and update the inventory management system
  • Fulfill orders received from the online store
  • Provide ongoing training and support to park employees
  • Collaborate with other THC branches and GNB departments as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

**Work Environment:**

  • Primary office location: Parks warehouse
  • Secondary office locations: Various Provincial Parks
  • Collaborate with a small head office team and park staff in the field
  • Travel throughout the province and work outside normal business hours may be required

**Requirements:**

  • Two-year college diploma with a minimum of four (4) years related experience
  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with various computer software programs
  • Valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required

**Nice to Have:**

  • Experience in the retail industry
  • Experience in online store management
