Nova Scotia Health is a leading healthcare provider in Nova Scotia, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. We're seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at South Shore Regional Hospital in the Western Zone.
About the Role
- Perform routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Ensure proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures
- Travel to other sites may be required
About You
- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current CPR Certification
- Comprehension of technical language to review manuals and participate in discussions
- Previous experience is an asset
- Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
- Competencies in other languages, French preferred
What We Offer
- Long assignment part-time position; 37.5 hours biweekly
- Approximately 12 months
- Shift work required, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend and holiday coverage
- $39.96 hourly
- Benefits package including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan
