Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEIT Coordinator to join our team. As a MEIT Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Information Technology (MEIT) projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate MEIT scopes to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and codes.
  • Site Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes.
  • Drawings and Information: Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Provide direction during functional performance testing of all building systems.
  • Schedule Management: Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawing reviews, and coordinate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
  • Trade Coordination: Assist and generate mechanical and electrical schedules for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation, and inspection dates; coordinate with project master schedule, track installation progress in the field, and be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule.
  • Commissioning Schedule Development: Assist in Commissioning Schedule Development.
  • Communication: Maintain constant communication with Mechanical and Electrical sub-trade(s) and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are maintained.
  • Scope of Work Development: Help develop M&E Scope of Work/Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimate/budget, and related Subcontractor contracts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A construction-related degree/diploma and ideally two years of Mechanical and Electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: A working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: The ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
