We are seeking a highly skilled MEiT Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon. As a MEiT Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Scope Coordination: Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Information Technology scopes to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and codes.
- On-Site Activities: Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes.
- Drawings and Information: Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems.
- Functional Performance Testing: Provide direction during functional performance testing of all building systems.
- Project Management Support: Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical Requests for Information (RFI), shop drawing reviews, and coordinate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements.
- Schedule Management: Assist and generate mechanical and electrical schedules for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation, and inspection dates; coordinate with project master schedule, track installation progress in the field, and be proactive in identifying tasks that may go past completion dates shown on schedule.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with Mechanical and Electrical sub-trade(s) and follow up on a monthly basis to ensure that deliverables and deadlines are maintained.
- Scope of Work Development: Help develop M&E Scope of Work/Tender Packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimate/budget, and related Subcontractor contracts.
- Education: Construction-related degree/diploma and ideally two years of Mechanical and Electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them.
