Sr. IT Support Technician

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Sr. IT Support Technician to provide technical support to internal and external customers.

As a Sr. IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing technology equipment in a multi-vendor environment.
  • Resolving issues quickly and maintaining a high level of end-user confidence.
  • Performing software and hardware upgrades & repairs to existing equipment.
  • Training users on the proper use of hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Monitoring backups and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Monitoring end-user asset performance and taking proactive corrective action when necessary.
  • Identifying potential problems and understanding when problems exist without being prompted.
  • Working individually and participating on integrated teams.
  • Investigating computer hardware and software issues independently and with the assistance of peers, vendors, and manufacturer support.
  • Analyzing root causes and resolving issues.
  • Working after hours or weekends on an as-needed basis to provide support.

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Associate Degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of experience working with PC Hardware and Software.
  • Proficient in current Microsoft technologies.
  • Customer-oriented with the ability to solve customer problems in a timely manner.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Aptitude and enthusiasm for learning and teaching new technologies.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Collaborative, works as part of a team to successfully achieve common goals.
  • Empathetic and passionate about helping others.
  • Actively listens and can quickly distill provided information and insights.
  • Conscientious, organized, and dependable; always meets deadlines and commitments.
  • A passion for quality and excellence.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Mac products.
  • Initiative-driven, pursuing goals beyond what is required or expected.
  • Experience working in an agile environment utilizing JIRA.
