Self-Checkout Attendant Job Description

As a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada, you will provide exceptional customer service and assist customers processing transactions through the self-service area(s).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep the area neat, clean, and organized, and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
  • Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options.
  • Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives.
  • Observe customer activities to determine when assistance is needed.
  • Explain the reasons for self-service interventions and quality checks to customers.
  • Respond to EAS alarms and fill out the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
  • Notify the Customer Service Manager when the self-service area(s) is low on cash or has a technical issue.
  • Return Scan & Go scanners to their home after use.
Compensation:

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.55, with rate of pay determined based on relevant experience.
