Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities

Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of its business goals. It will be your responsibility to inspire and motivate your team to deliver their best performance and align the team's daily actions with the strategic vision of the Office. You will contribute to the achievement of team goals by providing direction and guidance in:

Proactively identifying engagement opportunities for the Lieutenant Governor and liaising with internal and external partners regarding these opportunities.
Providing strategic advice on the selection of events for the Lieutenant Governor's participation based on appropriateness and their connection to the Lieutenant Governor's personal areas of focus and the longstanding areas of focus of the Office.
Managing relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Coordinating logistics, managing budgets, securing the Lieutenant Governor's participation, developing detailed supporting documents, special arrangements and adherence to protocol, audiovisual equipment, decorations, gifts, etc.
Working closely with the communications team to develop event-specific communication plans, communications products and key messaging.
Overseeing program development and design for proactive, in-house events both independently and with partners.
Overseeing the Lieutenant Governor's Honourary Patronage program.
Evaluating the success of events and programs based on predetermined metrics.How do I qualify?Strategic and Operational Leadership Skills

Planning and Organizational Skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills with a proven track record of managing a unit with high volumes of work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Skilled in delegation and the utilization of resources to maximize productivity, optimize efficiency and meet strategic goals.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal partners and manage multiple demands to ensure timely delivery of projects and assignments.

Communication and Relationships Building Skills
• Experience in producing clear and comprehensive support documents, such as briefing notes, project plans and outlines, event scenarios, presentations, research analysis, summaries and reports, communications products, etc.

• Proven experience and ability in building and maintaining diplomatic relationships and engaging with stakeholders, community groups, partners and executives in the development and implementation of meaningful programming and initiatives for the Lieutenant Governor and the Office.

• Experience in successfully planning, coordinating, and executing various events, ranging from small-scale gatherings to large-scale functions.

Project Management Skills
• Extensive experience in project management, applying principles and methodologies to support project management capacity building within the team and ensure the successful completion of projects and complex assignments within budget.

• Skilled in managing complex projects from conception to completion, aligning project objectives with broader organizational goals.

• Knowledge of various project management methodologies with a focus on delivering results under stringent timelines.
